Jared Hungerford officially takes office as Calaveras County Superintendent of Schools following the retirement of previous superintendent Karen Vail. Jared's unanimous appointment by the Calaveras County Board of Education is to complete Vail's term through December of 2026.
September 23, 2025
Jared received the endorsement of current Calaveras Unified School District Interim Superintendent, Dr. Ron Estes.
October 26, 2025
Jared officially launches his campaign for the office of Calaveras County Superintendent of Schools.
September 1, 2025
The past three previous Calaveras County Superintendents, Karen Vail, Scott Nanik, and Kathy Northington endorse Jared Hungerford in his campaign to remain county superintendent in the June 2026 election.
