LEADERSHIP OF THE MIND AND HEART
JARED HUNGERFORD
FOR CALAVERAS COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
Meet Jared Hungerford
candidate for Calaveras superintendent of schools
Jared Hungerford is the current Calaveras County Superintendent of Schools and is running to continue serving the students, families, and school communities of Calaveras County. With more than 22 years in public education and over eight years at the Calaveras County Office of Education, he brings steady leadership and a deep understanding of local schools.

Jared began his career working directly with students and later served as principal of Avery Middle School, the role that brought his family to Calaveras County. All three of his children have grown up and attended local schools, grounding his work in the community he serves.
During his time at the County Office of Education, Jared advanced through multiple leadership roles, including Associate Superintendent of Educational Services, before being appointed Superintendent. He has worked closely with districts across the county to strengthen instruction, support educators, and expand services for students with diverse and complex needs.
As Superintendent, Jared is committed to ensuring every student—including foster youth, students experiencing homelessness, students with disabilities, and adult learners—has access to an engaging, relevant education that prepares them for the future.
Elect Jared Hungerford for Calaveras County Superintendent of Schools.
Together, we can continue building strong schools and a brighter future for all students in Calaveras County.
